Our national Commercial team works with a wide range of clients both private and public.
Our clients are in various sectors such as technology, media, retail, pharmaceutical, insurance transport and logistics, manufacturing alongside work within the public sector for universities, NHS bodies, police forces and local authorities.
The team is national with coverage across our Liverpool, London, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow offices.
Weightmans operates a hybrid working policy with at least two days a week working in the office.
Our national Commercial team has a strong presence in the world of Primary Care
We are looking for an solicitor with experience working with Primary Care providers and in particular general practitioners
This role will involve
- Preparation and review and negotiation of Partnership documentation for medical and dental practitioners
- Providing general partnership advice
- Working on partnership mergers
- Advice and documentation of partnership retirements whether voluntary or compulsory
- NHS Contract advice
- Advising Primary Care networks

Key Duties
Your new role will cover the following key aspects:
- Work on matters covering the services outlined above
- Work with Partners and other senior members of the wider Primary Care team on complex matters
- Work on your own matters where appropriate
- Drafting, reviewing, advising on and negotiating contracts of a nature listed above
- Develop internal relationships as a starting point
- Assist with business development initiatives
- Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values and procedures;
- Manage matters in accordance with client service level agreements;
- Achieve financial and chargeable time targets;
- Comply with Weightmans policies and procedures;
- Complete client management information as and when required.
