The role 

 

Be the conduit for N Brown stakeholders on all internal requirements, briefings and work requests to our external production services, print, paper and mailing partners. 

Provide operational, quality and commercially focussed management across the external multi-channel delivery providers. Driving improvements in quality, speed to market and buying behaviours across our external spend.   

 

Proactively identify and deliver efficiencies, working collaboratively with our partners to improve standards across all production activities. 

Create and manage offline budgets, targeting operational savings and excellence.

What will you do as a Commercial Production Manager at N Brown?  

  • Provide commercial and technical insight to drive both innovation and buying behaviours across our multi-channel requirements. Proactively identifying and delivering efficiencies, working collaboratively with all stakeholders. 

  • Manage and report on all online production. Plan all offline delivery milestones post print-data date, monitor and report across multiple partners. Provide operational reporting to the wider business flagging all risks and success/failures. 

  • Provide operational QA/QC methodology & process, targeting measurable effectiveness against the supplier SLA’s & KPI’s through improved briefings of our quality expectations and process. These will form part of the partner appraisals. 

  • Act as a category expert in offline production, contributing to development of best practise across the organisation. Creating robust reporting mechanisms to ensure costs are optimised and accrued correctly. 

  • Develop & knowledge share with the team, to install commercial best practice and decision-making excellence for long term efficiencies. 

  • Play a key role in developing supplier relationships, creating the right communications and reporting workflows that will drive optimisation of the back-office capability. Ensure quality and service standards are maintained and improved, addressing issues pro-actively and collaboratively with internal colleagues and partners.  

  • Manage and challenge change to meet organisational expectations. Support the tender and budget management process and provide opportunities for driving efficiencies and savings.    

What skills and experience will you have? 

  • Excellent online & offline production & technical knowledge. 

  • Ability to create complex specifications and project packs for multi-channel projects. 

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build cross-functional relationships. 

  • Excellent commercial and budget management skills. 

  • Excellent & proactive vendor management, service and quality knowledge.  

  • Excellent project and change management skills.  

  • Pro-active, positive & flexible with a ‘can-do’ attitude, able to motivate colleagues to achieve excellence. 

  • Supports development of others by sharing experience and expertise. 

  • An open-minded, flexible and positive attitude toward new challenges, with a willingness to embrace new technologies and business change. 

  • An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
