My client is an independent property investment and development company located in Brighton, East Sussex. They purchase, develop, and manage a wide range of commercial and residential properties, providing high-quality business premises and living space to clients throughout the South of England.
They are looking to hire an experienced Commercial Property/Block Manager with an enthusiastic, conscientious, and professional approach to join the team. Somebody passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the portfolio to a high standard.
The ideal candidate must have experience in Commercial Property management - The successful candidate will need to hit the ground running and take immediate responsibility for all the Commercial Property and block management of our portfolio with support from the Commercial Director and Head of Departments.
As Commercial Property/Block Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Dealing with day-to-day management and maintenance of commercial and residential properties.
- Organise building surveys and quotes for necessary maintenance and repairs.
- Deal promptly and courteously with communications from leaseholders and tenants, handling complaints and emergencies.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with leaseholders and tenants.
- Liaise with the residential Property Managers regarding reported maintenance.
- Ensure buildings comply with any necessary Health & Safety regulatory compliance and certification.
- Respond quickly to a lack of security or essential services, including any potential dangers associated with a property. - Serving appropriate notices.
- Keep thorough records regarding the property portfolio. This will include building inspections, maintenance requests, complaints, repair records etc.
- Prepare and administer service charge demands.
Candidate requirements:
- Commercial Property/ Block Management experience
- Understanding and experience dealing with service charge accounts.
- Articulate in verbal and written communication with a good level of commonly used office-based IT packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Familiar with property management software (training available)

Essential:
Commercial Property/Block Management experience. Full clean driving licence. Property Qualifications are preferred, but not essential. Working hours are full-time based in our Brighton Office, Monday-Friday 9.00am to 5:30pm.
