About the Role
Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a dynamic combined authority, based East Anglia, which is seeking a highly qualified Commercial Solicitor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality legal service focused on the provision of advice and assistance relating to Commercial law.
ROLE: Commercial Lawyer
LOCATION: East Anglia - hybrid working
SALARY: £62,242 - £75,645
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision and provide legal advice and assistance regarding a mix (but not all) of transport law, commercial law, contract and procurement, corporate & company law, Governance and Information Governance.
- Lead and assist on matters which involve commercial law, contract and procurement, and corporate & company law, Governance and Information Governance.
- Advise Combined Authority colleagues, elected members, private sector Business Board members and key stakeholders on sensitive and highly complex legal matters.
What We're Looking For
- A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with strong Commercial law experience
- Ideally someone who has worked directly for a local authority previously. The authority is willing to consider candidates who have worked with public sector organisations from a private practice
- Experience and knowledge of transport law including bus network, bus contracts, bus franchising, rail and highways.
