Job description

    Job title: Commercial Specialist


    Location: London (Hybrid)


    Duration: 12 Months FTC


    Start Date: May 2024



    The Role:


    Support the Service Delivery Manager to ensure the business has contractual coverage across all claims processing service providers, closing any gaps to deliver the most efficient and effective process and results through:


    Commercial


    Lead on contract and commercial negotiations for multiple disciplines including service provider negotiations & sub-contractor flow-downs.


    Draft and review a range of commercial agreements to support new business development activities.


    Provide ad-hoc commercial support and expertise across all stakeholder groups.


    Own invoice approval process for relevant service providers


    Determine and recommend the appropriate commercial viability of contract variations.


    Own the modelling and testing contractual KPIs and Payment Mechanisms in line with finance process and procedures.


    Build strong relationships across the business to drive collaboration and alignment, and act as the commercial governance existing contract and contract changes.


    Manage commercial and contractual issues, leading the resolution to completion.


    Provide advice and guidance on shaping the commercial deal and contract structure.


    Conduct regular review of all Commercial elements of Price Models


    Contract Management


    Responsible for continued performance monitoring and achievement of Contract Management-related Service Level Agreement KPIs, , including determination of any service credits


    Liaise with both internal and external key Stakeholders to understand and monitor the fulfilment of contractual obligations in accordance with the defined terms and conditions.


    Manage contract change requests and maintain all subsequently amended operational contracts.


    Monitor and ensure the contract obligations are maintained through regular reviews.


    Lead periodic contract reviews, ensuring robust systems are in place to assure delivery of contracted benefits.


    Serve as the key point of contact between the service provider and internal stakeholders to ensure Service Level Agreement is met and resolve any performance related issues when required.


    Monitor business wide obligation/compliance reviews and audits.


    Ensure that contracts are properly documented, versioned and stored appropriately.


    Service Delivery


    Use SLA/KPI data to accurately track and monitor contract and service provider performance, liaising with wider team as required and intervening were outside of agreed tolerance.


    Effectively manage both internal and external stakeholders to ensure synergy and build strong relationships at all levels within a business


    Analyse information and data to present recommendations, solutions and reach decisions


    Manage work scope changes, potential downtime/variations and identify opportunities to remove blockers which prevent delays


    Actively monitor and review service delivery performance over duration of contract


    Requirements:


    � Strong Experience/understanding of contract governance with Tier 1 Service Providers


    � Excellent attention to detail


    � Ability to analyse, understand and enforce contractual obligations, whilst balancing out the need to maintain and grow a strong interdependent relationship with your counterparts at the service providers.


    � Commercially focused and ability to influence Partners and senior stakeholders.


    � Proven ability to write performance based and prescriptive specifications for the contracts.


    � Strong negotiator


    � Well-developed budget management skills


    � Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to contract management.


    � Ability to work autonomously.


    � Strong commercial and financial acumen


    � Strong decision-making ability and be able to balance conflicting priorities within a fast-paced and changing environment.


    � Ability to act as commercial subject matter expert to provide advice to Senior Leaders and Executive
