Commis Chef (Part-Time)

Hours: 22 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Selwyn College, with a reputation for friendliness and excellent food, is recruiting for a part-time Commis Chef. Under the direction of the Head Chef and Deputy Head Chef, the Commis Chef will work with the Section Chefs to provide consistently high quality food and contribute to the introduction of innovative dishes, especially salads and cold offerings. Ideally, applicants will be working towards a professional chef qualification and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of food. However, full training and instruction will be provided, and we welcome applications from those with limited professional kitchen experience. You should also have the ability to work to tight deadlines while providing excellent service at all times.
