Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Commis or Trainee to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and a desire to grow in the culinary field. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic restaurant environment.
This role would also suit an enthusiastic catering college student / leaver. Hours available between full and part-time.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the chef
- Ensure all food meets quality standards and is prepared according to recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Support the chef and kitchen team in daily operations
- Assist in supervising kitchen staff as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- A passion for hospitality and delivering excellent service
