Here at The Wheatsheaf, we pride ourselves in providing high quality meals to our valued customers. We are now seeking a trained Commis chef to join our well-established team and work alongside our exceptional chef’s in continuing that level of service.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commis to join our culinary team. As a Commis, you will assist in food preparation and production, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our guests. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about the culinary arts and looking to grow their career in the hospitality industry.
Duties:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Assist in receiving and storing food supplies
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food production and cooking techniques
- Experience in food preparation in a professional kitchen setting
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to take direction from senior kitchen staff
