Commis De Bar (Restaurant)

The Plate at No.6 restaurant offers modern Mediterranean Tapas cuisine in the heart of Windsor, Berkshire. We are seeking a part time Commis de Bar to support our front of house operations. The role is a key part of the working of the restaurant.

The restaurant has a broad customer base whether they are tourists or our cherished local clientele and we would expect our Commis de Bar to provide a friendly professional service that our customers would expect in such a prestigious location.

Although experience in a high-end level restaurant is preferable it’s not essential, but knowledge of wine and cocktails would be an advantage. Being flexible and adaptable to a changing work environment is core to the service we expect, as well as being willing to work as part of small team. We would also be looking for someone that has good organisational skills and is able to provide effective and efficient communication often in a fast-paced workplace.

The role will be varied but would include the following duties:

• Bar service
• Preparing mis en place
• Assisting with the waiting of customers.
• Ensuring cleanliness in the restaurant is maintained.
• Taking reservations
• Assisting management with monitoring stock levels.
