Job Title: Digital Infrastructure Project Delivery Manager
Location: West Sussex, UK (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite)
Contract Duration: 4 months
Salary: 500 – 550 per day
We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Project Delivery Manager to join a local authority in West Sussex. This is a pivotal role in driving forward the Digital Infrastructure Strategy, delivering essential projects and services to meet the evolving needs the our community.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee a portfolio of projects, managing various stages of development and implementation.
- Directly manage large and complex projects, ensuring successful delivery within specified timelines and budgets.
- Lead a team of project managers, fostering collaboration and innovation in product and service development.
- Develop processes that incorporate input from senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Act as a subject matter expert in deploying complex projects, providing guidance and support to project teams.
- Contribute expertise to the evolution of the Digital Infrastructure Strategy, driving the realisation of digital ambitions.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and advanced project management skills to deliver high–profile, fast–paced projects.
- Assess project status and requirements, making informed recommendations and leading necessary actions.
- Communicate complex technical information effectively to stakeholders through presentations and reports.
- Manage project budgets ranging from 2–5 million, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial oversight.
- Collaborate with peer Project Delivery Managers to align projects, anticipate resource needs, and optimise team capacity.
Requirements:
- Sound pragmatic problem–solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues and identify innovative solutions.
- Strong partnership working skills, capable of coordinating diverse stakeholders to achieve common objectives.
- Effective research, evaluation, and interpretation skills to drive informed decision–making over the short to medium term.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive business solutions.
- Proficient in people management and performance management, providing direction, leadership, and support to teams.
- Ability to set clear objectives, establish timescales, and evaluate service delivery effectiveness.
- Demonstrated expertise in project and program management principles, particularly in addressing complex challenges.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Post–graduate professional qualification in management, program management, or infrastructure project delivery; or equivalent significant experience.
- Relevant chartered status from a professional body or equivalent high–level experience in related practices.
