Salary As a Data Centre Commissioning Project Manager, you will manage key accounts in the Data Centre sector. This role is based in Blackpool
You will be responsible for the management of the commissioning scope and the teams performing commissioning of Data Centre projects. This includes scheduling, budgeting, scoping, and resource planning. Additionally, you will also be responsible for client relationship management and business development activities.
Description:
* Develop and execute commissioning plans for data centre projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
* Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure that project requirements are met, and that customer satisfaction is maintained.
* Develop and implement resource planning strategies to ensure that the necessary personnel, equipment, and materials are available to complete commissioning activities.
* Manage Level 0 through Level 5 testing process to ensure all systems are fully functional and meet performance specifications.
* Coordinate with construction and engineering teams to ensure that all project requirements are met and that commissioning activities are conducted efficiently.
* Attend meetings with clients to present proposals and provide technical expertise on commissioning activities.
* Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and identify any potential issues.
* Provide regular project status updates to senior management and clients.
* Ensure that all commissioning documentation is complete and accurate, including test procedures, reports, and validation documents.
* Identify business development opportunities and work to develop proposals and pricing for new projects.
To be considered for this role you will have;
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
* 7+ years of experience in data centre commissioning or a related field.
* Strong project management skills, with experience managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
* Demonstrated experience in business development activities, including identifying opportunities, developing proposals, and presenting to clients.
* Strong technical expertise in data centre commissioning, including knowledge of Level 0 through Level 5 testing, IST, and Functional testing. (ideally L4 experience minimum)
* Ability to travel as needed to project sites
