Working arrangements: Full time (35 hours per week) Standard working hours between 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working, with a minimum of 6 days per month in the office
We are seeking to appoint a motivated, organised and experienced Committee Manager within the committee services section of the Royal College of Physicians (RCP).
Purpose and scope
The role has a broad range of responsibilities, including:
- Working in a highly productive team of seven responsible for the successful delivery of approximately 120 meetings per annum concerned with the advisory and decision making process of the RCP and relationship management with medical specialist societies and other stakeholders.
- Contribution to other responsibilities held by the committee services section including; providing administrative and project support to RCP working parties, supporting the clinical advice service to external consultation requests and assisting with wider RCP governance processes.
- Primary duties involve providing excellent management and secretariat support to a range of allocated committees in their core function to provide professional advice to the RCP on issues such as workforce, education, service and clinical matters.
- Ensuring the effective flow of information between the committees and RCP advising and influencing policy and practice as appropriate.

- You will have excellent communication skills
- Show great attention to detail and be able to interpret complex information in order to identify key issues, problem solve and make decisions.
- You will have experience in managing multiple meetings and activities
- Able to prepare agendas and meeting papers
- Produce clear and accurate minutes and meeting summaries to agreed timelines.
