Home-Start Wessex are a non-profit organisation who offer friendship, practical support and emotional advice to families living in Dorset who are having difficulties for a variety of different reasons such as poor mental health, postnatal depression, disability, domestic abuse, bereavement, isolation, financial hardship and multiple births.
The mission is to give children the best possible start in life, by supporting parents so they grow in confidence, strengthening and enjoying their relationships with their children and widening their links with the local community.
Home-Start Wessex is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Communications and Fundraising Coordinator to take forward our Communications and marketing strategy. This is a newly created post for an experienced and talented Communications and Fundraising professional to bring all our communications, marketing, PR, social media and Fundraising functions together.
The Communications and Fundraising Coordinator will be responsible for developing and managing our website and coordinating all related promotions and Fundraising activity. The post-holder will be supported and guided by our Corporate Partnerships and Marketing Manager, but will ultimately have the freedom to develop and lead new initiaves as we continue to grow.
To be successful in this Communications and Fundraising Coordinatorrole you will have relevant experience in the charity sector, possess exceptional people management skills, and be adept at building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will bring a thorough and up-to-date understanding of the fundraising sector, trends and best practice, and be an excellent communicator and facilitator.
Candidates for the Communications and Fundraising Coordinatorposition must share our vision to support vulnerable families and children and be passionate about helping our charity to make a difference.
The post will primarily be based at our offices in Kinson, Bournemouth.
