Job description

Salary: £24,300 - £30,600

Location: Cambridge; UK

Contract: Permanent; 35 hours per week.

We are looking for an organised and proactive Communications Support Coordinator with excellent written and verbal communication skills to join the Brand, Digital & Exams Officer Communications team in Cambridge International.

This is an exciting role which focuses on delivering communications to our Cambridge schools worldwide so that they can successfully administer our qualifications.

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

About the role

In this role, you will be a key part of our Exams Officer Communications and Training Team. You will produce high quality materials in a variety of media, and for various communication channels, to help ensure that Exams Officers worldwide engage with Cambridge International and can successfully administer our qualifications. You will report to the Senior Communications Manager – Exams Officers.

You will help to make sure essential online and offline communications are clear, timely, meaningful and customer focused.

Your role will include

  • Support all planned and ad hoc exams officer communications as required including drafting alerts, reviewing and updating guidance documents, supporting project work, drafting web content, set up comms in Mailchimp and managing customer contact details to create data lists.
  • Support the development and management of the ‘exams administration' area of the public website including planned updates and/or drafting new content.
  • Lead on drafting the exams officer's monthly newsletter – including liaising with various internal teams to gather content and working with senior post-holders to secure sign off.
  • Lead discrete projects (for example updating and publishing the March exam series suite of guidance each year).
  • Manage certain processes (for example working with multiple stakeholders to update and publish a wide range of administrative forms and guidance documents).
  • Support and grow the relationship between the exams officer communications team with internal colleagues across divisions in Cambridge and also throughout the regions worldwide.
  • Supporting the busy Exams Officer Communication team throughout the year, particularly at peak periods.

Please note this is not a marketing role.

About you

You're an excellent communicator with experience of the education sector (or a similar busy, global environment). You're able to build relationships and secure buy-in for communications. You understand the complexities of writing communications via multiple channels for a global audience with English as a second language. A self-starter who is happy to work independently and as part of a team. You are comfortable reviewing complex information from multiple sources and explaining it in simple terms.

You are looking for a role where you can support a busy team and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Ideally you will have some knowledge of Exams Officers and the challenges they face.

Rewards and benefits

We will support you to be at your best in work and to live well outside of it. In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a world-class, flexible rewards package, featuring family-friendly and planet-friendly benefits including:

  • Group personal pension scheme
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Life assurance up to 4 x annual salary
