The Team:
S&P Global Sustainable1 is S&P Global's single source of essential ESG and sustainability intelligence. The Communications team is essential to raising awareness, building and protecting the global brand and reputation of S&P Global Sustainable1 externally through message and campaign development. We are a high-performing, proactive, creative, enthusiastic, results-driven team with exceptional internal and external relationships. Responsibilities and Impact:
  • Leading and executing external communications programs, working proactively with senior business leaders and stakeholders throughout EMEA and globally
  • Building and maintaining exceptional journalist relationships
  • Keep a clear pulse on issues and market trends that could impact the Business to help inform strategy on communications campaigns and media relations
  • Supporting issues management framework through media and stakeholder management
  • Message development in collaboration with key groups including marketing, commercial and research.
  • Leveraging your resourcefulness, creativity, and flexibility to develop and execute on impactful external communications campaigns
  • Be part of a 'best in class' team at a globally recognized company and work with globally significant leaders in sustainability
What We're Looking For:
  • 10+ years in an external communications function focusing on ESG and sustainability within a financial services organization or related corporate field, either in-house or for an agency
  • Strong track record of successfully creating and implementing communications strategy in the sustainability sector
  • Significant experience in media relations
  • First class communication skills - written, verbal and presenting
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, an MBA is beneficial
  • Keen interest in, and good understanding of, business and financial markets including the associated instruments
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Easily able to switch between conceptualizing and spearheading projects and participating in team projects; you are a team player
  • Highly organized with superb attention to detail
