The role
As a Communications Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Day to day, you'll carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, ensuring that the transmitters, receivers, and associated control equipment perform to operational requirements:
Carry out planned maintenance work on transmitters, receivers and associated control equipment including Fault Analysis & repairs as part of the engineering team.
Support the engineering team in all operational and technical matters.
Maintain technical and administrative records and provide information as required.
Observing safe working practices as advised and instructed.
Undertake minor engineering projects.
This role is: full time, Monday to Friday, and will be based at on site at St.Eval.
Essential experience of the Communications Engineer:
Record of proven ability in related work within Electronics.
Possess basic knowledge of data communications and networking technologies.
Ability to demonstrate competence in operational and maintenance duties.
Qualifications for the Communications Engineer:
Qualified in Engineering (Electronic / Electrical) or equivalent.
Be DV Cleared or willing to attain the clearance.
Possession of full driving licence.
Please note that this position is subject to national security vetting. The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements (this will include obtaining SC and Developed Vetting (DV) level of security clearances).
