Communications Executive
Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Communications Executive for a company in the leisure, tourism and events industry. The Communications Executive will work as part of the Marketing and Communications team to plan, manage and deliver proactive and reactive communications campaigns as part of an integrated marketing strategy. The Communications Executive will be a storyteller and a talented copywriter with brilliant communication skills and a good understanding of PR or a media focus.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager and external PR Consultant to develop press release statements and assist with delivery of proactive domestic and out-of-state communications campaigns that increase the profile of company and drives ticket sales and visitor numbers to achieve targets.
- Plan and develop external and internal communications calendars, including workflows from research, ideas generation and content creation to publishing and evaluation.
- PR/storytelling opportunities that support campaign plans, drive engagement and meet strategic business priorities.
- Assist with the event management of campaign launches, press conferences and other media events, including setting up photo calls as appropriate.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager and wider team on the continual development and implementation of Crisis Communication Plans.
- Maintain and build effective working relationships with internal departments, stakeholders and media and tourism agency partners to achieve best coverage.
- Monitor and respond in a timely manner to all media requests, including managing interview/statement requests.
- Manage all in-house media visits, maximising opportunities for coverage.
- Be the main point of content for media and filming opportunities, working with the wider marketing and operational teams as necessary to facilitate delivery.
- Record all media contacts on CRM System, keeping details up-to-date on an ongoing basis.
- Plan, create and produce effective content including audio and written content for media engagement, editorial pieces, thought leadership, case studies and internal communications.
- Use excellent copywriting skills to craft fresh content for a range of audiences including Internal, applying a consistent brand narrative.
- Leverage market insights, user stories and campaign activity to shape themes and topics for communications content.
- Ensure all media and communications activity and content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice.

Person Specification:
- 3rd Level Qualification in PR, Communication, Marketing or related discipline.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience working in a PR, communications or marketing environment.
- 1 years’ experience to include the following:
o Proven experience of planning and delivering successful results oriented internal and external communications campaigns.
o Experience of proactive and reactive media management, including filming/production management.
o Creating, writing, editing and optimising content for internal and external platforms.
- Strong copywriting and communication skills.
- Proactive approach.
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Analytical, planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
