Requirements:
- Valid GMC registration and license to practice in the UK
- Right to work in the UK
- Completion of clinical attachment in CAMHS
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist, with significant experience in CAMHS
- Section 12 approval is desirable
Duties:
- Provide expert psychiatric assessment and treatment to children and adolescents in the community setting
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on comprehensive assessments and multidisciplinary input
- Work collaboratively with community-based mental health teams, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to deliver holistic care to patients
- Offer consultation and support to primary care providers, schools, and other community agencies involved in the care of young individuals with mental health needs
- Participate in regular case reviews, team meetings, and clinical supervision sessions to ensure high-quality, person-centred care delivery
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
- Engage in service development activities and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of CAMHS services
