If so, why not join our team at Optimum Care. As a Community Carer, you will support our clients in their own homes. You will work within one location/area, on either single or double runs.

We have two shifts, day and evening (times detailed at the bottom), we will give you a contract with guaranteed hours, and you select how many shifts you can fulfil each week.

Essential Criteria

No experience is needed as we provide you with all training. However, you must meet the below criteria:

  • Have a full driver’s license with access to a car
  • Have a desire to care for people in their own homes
  • A mobile phone

Your Role

You will care for our clients in their own homes assisting with personal washing, dressing/undressing, providing snacks and refreshments, and prompt/administering medication. You will use approved equipment such as hoists or slide sheets to assist clients and provide practical support such as light cleaning, shopping and washing.

Most importantly, you will encourage and promote their independence and choice whilst upholding their rights and dignity.

Shift Patterns

Day Shift:
7am – 6pm

Evening Shift:
6pm – 11pm

  • to provide adequate care for our clients, you should be available to complete a full shift. Please note this role requires you to be available to work weekday and weekend shifts.

We will discuss with you at your interview whether you can do day or evening shifts or if you would like a mixture of both throughout your week.
