Job description

The Royal Air Force (RAF) Benevolent Fund is looking for a Community Fundraiser to lead their community fundraising partnerships in the Southern UK region. As the Royal Air Force's leading welfare charity, the RAF Benevolent Fund provides financial, practical and emotional support to serving and former members of the RAF – regardless of rank – as well as their partners and dependents. Looking after local community groups, events and corporate partners, this would be a great opportunity for anyone with some fundraising or sales/marketing experience, who can demonstrate strong relationship-building and communication skills and some understanding of the RAF or military. RAF are open to those from outside the sector, making this an ideal role for someone looking for their first charity job.

To be an amazing Community Fundraiser, you’ll need to:

  • Be able to build strong relationships and communicate with a wide range of people with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate experience of exceeding targets both through new and existing relationships
  • Based in Southern England and able to work 1-2 days a week from a base such as RAF Brize Norton or RAF Benson in Oxfordshire

Salary: £30,000 and car allowance                                                                    
Contract: Permanent, full time
Location: Hybrid working with office days at a RAF location in South UK i.e. RAF Benson or RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire
