Community Intervention Worker

About the role

Community Intervention staff work within the F4M, Restorative Justice Team, supporting young people to complete Reparation on statutory Court Orders (Referral Orders, Youth Rehabilitation Orders), and the delivery of reparation given at the Pre-Court Joint Diversionary panels - Youth Restorative Interventions. The role requires a full Driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

You will be part of a team working to motivate the young people to make amends for their actions and facilitate the delivery of a set number of hours (reparation) to victims or local communities.

This part time role will be based in the East Lindsey area, and involve working flexibly during the week, early evenings, and weekends to fit around young people's education or other commitments. Hybrid working is a feature of this role. We also have Countywide relief positions available.

About you 

To be considered for this role you must have at least 3 years’ experience of working with vulnerable young people, and preferably some knowledge of Restorative Practice and the Criminal Justice system. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to build and sustain relationships with young people, and the victims of crime.

Ideally candidates will be able to encourage, motivate and at times challenge attitudes and behaviours displayed by young people. With the aim to support young people and their families through potentially life changing experiences.  We would be interested in hearing from people with experience of teaching, tutoring, Arts & Craft, Groundwork, DIY, Woodwork etc.

Lincolnshire County Council has a flexible working policy, which includes themes such as a flexitime approach, condensed hours, as well as initiatives such as buying additional leave.  We operate a hybrid approach to working, which is a mix of working from home and the office.  The expectation is that staff are in the office approximately once per week.
