Community Involvement Officer

The Community Involvement Officer is intricate in delivering homes that enrich the lives of tenants and creates vibrant communities. They will achieve this by engaging with all tenants and stakeholders, providing a range of tenant engagement opportunities that empowers tenants, giving them the opportunity to have their say on our services, to enhance the quality of service delivery across the association.The post holder will work as part of the Community Involvement Team that embraces diversity and successfully promotes good relations across the communities where our tenants live..

Hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent and a minimum of one years experience, gained within the last 5 years of working (in paid employment) within the local community environment.

NOTE: Experience must include one or more of the following:Community involvement, Tenant engagement, Community development, Good relations.

Knowledge of community engagement, involvement and capacity building tools and techniques (demonstrated by examples).

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel. (demonstrated by examples).

Hold a current full driving licence that allows you to drive in the UK, with use of a private vehicle for business use or, in the case of having a disability, be able to demonstrate how the mobility requirements of the position will be met.

Experience of planning and delivering successful community activities / events.

Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders, e.g. tenants and/or customers, in a confidential and professional manner.

Experience of fundraising and completing funding applications.

Experience of Good Relations.
