Are you an experienced and passionate community engagement professional? Have you managed a range of community partnership initiatives that prioritise inclusive participation and representation of diverse communities? Do you have hands on experience in implementing and overseeing community listening activities to enable ongoing and insightful dialogues? If so, you could join Imperial’s Community Engagement team to drive and embed civic engagement through an innovative programme at our new White City Campus.
Working with our Senior Community Partnerships and Engagement Manager, this role will connect the College and local community. Over the last seven years, our Community Engagement team, part of the broader Imperial Public Engagement team, has been actively building connections and relationships in White City and North Kensington. We've collaborated with local stakeholders, Imperial researchers, businesses, and community partners to deliver various community programmes, including science 'pop-ups' at local Festivals, tech literacy initiatives for older people, a community leadership programme for local women, and hands-on STEM activities for families at The Invention Rooms, our central hub and dedicated space for community engagement in White City.
Looking ahead we aim to build on this work drawing upon the insights and feedback from our recent extensive Listening Exercise. This role will be key to sustaining this momentum by managing the implementation of ongoing listening mechanisms, collaboration, and networking to shape targeted engagement efforts and address civic priorities while maintaining our valued local relationships.
