Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Phlebotomist to join our Community Phlebotomy team.
We currently have one post available, within our Phlebotomy team, based at Bentilee Neighbourhood Centre.
Our Community Phlebotomists work throughout Newcastle, Stoke and Staffordshire Moorlands providing home visits to patients who are housebound. The teams cover a large geographical area so ability to travel between patients' homes and the surrounding area is essential.
Our Community Phlebotomists work independently under the supervision of the Community Nursing Team, obtaining blood samples from patients in their own homes.
The successful applicants will be well motivated team players who are passionate about providing high quality care to patients. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as, the ability to organise and prioritise your workload without direct supervision. You should be committed to delivering high quality patient care.
Past experience of phlebotomy or community working is desirable, but not essential. There will be opportunities for training and personal development for the successful applicants.
