This is an exciting new post within the Economic Development section of Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council, offering you the chance to work with local employers, potential investors, community groups and residents as part of a new project aimed at improving maths skills within the Borough. .

Degree in Economic Development ; Community Development, Regeneration or equivalent level qualification.Consideration may be given to those who do not hold the above qualification but who can demonstrate 4 years relevant experience as outlined below:Possess at least 2 years experience in a wide range of economic / community development activitiesExperience of developing / delivering skills and / or employability initiativesWorking with communities and adultsGood planning and project management skills, including Programme design, resource development and assessmentCo-developing and co delivering programmes with adultsExcellent organisational skillsDisplays a positive attitude including a solution based, flexible and enthusiastic approachKnowledge of EU and other funding programmes and how applications and claims are prepared and processedCompetent in the use of Microsoft Office and Windows ApplicationsFull current driving licence and access to a form of transport
