  • Permanent contract, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

The Role – Community Safety Officer

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, working at North Wales Housing properties across North Wales, you’ll assist in maintaining the day-to-day fire safety of North Wales Housing blocks through a combination of basic equipment testing and communal inspections/clearance. Providing effective communication with residents and communities to promote fire safety, with duties to include but not be limited to:

  • Provide fire safety and compliance testing including inspections, completing minor repairs and ad-hoc jobs where possible
  • Identify issues including anti-social behaviour, tenancy management issues or tenant wellbeing concerns
  • Facilitate positive relationships with residents
  • Clearing communal areas to support a safe and customer focused service environment
  • Support with NWH access issues to properties, attempt to gain access by visiting properties, in order to support compliance and regulatory works are undertaken

Our Requirements – Community Safety Officer

  • Welsh Language: Level 3 – conversational Welsh
  • Full UK drivers’ licence, drive a works large van up to 3,500kg
  • Demonstrable experience of incident reporting
  • Demonstrable experience of fire safety compliancy checks
  • Demonstrable experience of Health and Safety compliance checks
  • Demonstrable experience of responding to incidents within a housing or similar environment
  • Flexible approach to work, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads
  • Good level of numeracy, with effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy including use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Respect and understand the requirement to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training

​Work requires lifting and carrying and of furniture.​
