Applicants are sought from the community to take part in a Community Speedwatch scheme in the South Manchester area.
The specific location is as follows:
Parrswood Road
Yew Tree Road
Burnage Lane
This is an exciting opportunity to be actively involved in the delivery of the Community Speedwatch scheme.
Within this role you will assist the Safer transport Unit, Citizens in Policing team and local neighbourhood teams shape and develop a cohesive and effective community Speedwatch scheme whilst actively improving the lives of local communities and reducing the risk posed by speeding motorists.
You will receive all relevant training, uniform and equipment to carry out your role.
Volunteers must possess;
Excellent communication skills.
Good attention to detail.
Enthusiasm for the role.
Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate patience and flexibility.
Please note due to the nature of the role, you will be required to spend prolonged periods of time stood outside in public places (well-lit roadside) in all weather conditions.
Expenses will be paid where appropriate in line with GMP's policy.
