Silver Swan is currently seeking a professional, kind Companion / Carer for a truly inspiring gentleman based in south west London. This is a great opportunity for the right Companion / Carer to work for a lovely client who is still an active Chairman and has been very successful in business and with his sports charity. An interest in sports (especially rugby and football) would be a huge bonus as this is a real passion for my client. The successful Companion / Carer will be working as part of an amazing team including Carers, Housekeepers, and Chefs, some of whom has been with him for over 20 years!
The successful Companion / Carer will be working for this lovely gentleman in his 3 bedroom duplex apartment within a luxury assisted living development in Chelsea Harbour. Ideally, this is a live out role, but separate accommodation can be provided if needed. He does suffer from Parkinson’s, so any relevant qualifications or experience with this would be advantageous. My client still travels a lot, so candidates must be available to travel and spend continuous periods either in the UK or abroad working in a rota of 2 or 3 weeks on/1 or 2 weeks off.

Responsibilities:
- Taking over from the night Companion / Carer
- Assisting the principal with morning exercises
- Assisting with serving and clearing breakfast
- Supporting and accompanying the principal throughout the day
- Attending medical appointments with the principal, ensuring that notes and information is passed on to other carers and staff members
- Ensuring all medications are administered at the correct times and in the correct dosage
- Preparing pill boxes and notes for other staff members to administer when needed
- Driving the principal to lunches, dinners, and meetings when required
- Occasional dog walking with the Principal, ensuring his safety at all times
- Occasional night carer duties covering any holidays or sickness
Ideal candidate:
- MUST have the right to live and work in the UK
- Due to the nature of this role, we are ideally looking for male applicants
- Medical qualification and experience of Parkinson’s preferable
- Able to do some simple light cooking on occasions
- Driver - clean licence required
Package:
- Working week: Either work 5 days a week (Monday - Friday) OR when required to work weekends would attempt where possible to allow this to become 4 days a week (Thursday - Sunday)
- Accommodation: Can be provided if needed - 2 bedroom flat occasionally sharing with another Carer
- Start: ASAP
- Salary: £60-65k
