Complex Needs Navigator

We are currently partnering with a leading charity organisation based in Barnet, who are recruiting for a Complex Needs Navigator to join their growing team on a 3 month on going contract.

Our client is proud to be recognised as an international charity with a key focus on substance misuse

and criminal justice intervention projects.

This is a full-time position with an hourly rate up to £21 (UMB) and due to start immediately.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

•Managing a caseload of 15-20 complex need clients who are suffering from substance misuse or mental health issues and may also be homeless

•Creating support plans and carrying our risk assessments

•Providing harm reduction advice for their drug and alcohol abuse

•Carrying out on the street support and assisting clients in local homeless services

Experience required:

•Enhanced DBS on the online update service (ESSENTIAL)

•Previous substance misuse and mental health experience

•Previously worked with homeless clients

•Knowledge of supported housing

•Experience of case management

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

•Excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills

•Emotional resilience and a diplomatic and pragmatic approach to managing

conflicting priorities and situations

•Confidence to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of services

•The ability to work with confidence and patience with clients unwilling to engage

with services and those that exhibit challenging behaviour

•The ability to work unsociable hours as and when required and to work to targets and deadlines

•37.5 Hours a week.

•Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
