Job description

Do you want to work for a company whose purpose is to improve society by considering social outcomes, and to transform businesses, communities, and opportunities for its employees?
The Compliance and Risk Analyst plays a vital role in safeguarding the organisation's information assets by identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks associated with IAM. This role is crucial in ensuring strict adherence to legal, regulatory, and organisational standards, thereby protecting the organisation from potential compliance risks and enhancing its information governance posture.
This role reports to the IAM programme lead.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Risk Management: Effective identification, assessment, and management of IAM-related risks, ensuring they are comprehensively addressed and mitigated.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Guaranteeing organisational alignment with applicable laws, regulations (such as GDPR, CCPA), and internal policies, thereby minimising legal exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment and Audits: Conduct in-depth risk assessments and audits focusing on IAM, collaborating with the IAM programme lead, IAM governance analyst, and business analysts to identify potential vulnerabilities and improvement areas in information asset management.
  • Risk Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, working in tandem with the IAM team and other relevant departments to ensure the effectiveness of these strategies.
  • Compliance Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor and report on compliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational standards. This involves close collaboration with various departments to gather comprehensive insights and formulate accurate compliance reports.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Actively collaborate with the IAM programme lead, IAM governance analyst, business analysts, legal, and regulatory teams. This collaboration is crucial in staying abreast of changes in compliance requirements and ensuring that organisational policies and practices are promptly adjusted.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with different areas of the business to promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance. This includes providing guidance and advice on risk management and compliance matters, and ensuring that all relevant stakeholders understand their role in safeguarding the organisation’s information assets.
  • Change Management: Facilitate change management processes related to IAM governance, ensuring that updates or modifications to the governance framework are effectively communicated and implemented throughout the organisation.

Candidate Specification

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Law, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience:

  • 3 or more years of experience in risk management and compliance, preferably within an IT or related sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • In depth understanding of risk management principles and compliance regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop practical solutions to complex compliance issues.
