Job description

Equans is looking for a Compliance Auditor to join our team in the Southwest of England on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, Business use vehicle, and benefits package.
The Compliance Auditor role is part of our technical team with the responsibility of maintaining the audit KPI to the required pass percentage. They will provide an active communication channel on items raised on the audit with all stakeholders and will ensure collaboration with the central helpdesk and operational teams.
As a Compliance Auditor, you'll provide an independent guarantee that an organisation's risk management, governance and control processes are operating effectively.
You'll work within the contract to monitor and evaluate how well risks are being managed.
The scope and nature of audits can vary significantly, but the main priority of your work is to ensure any issues that affect the survival and prosperity of the business are dealt with.
The ideal candidates will be responsible for owning the technical audit for the sites within their remit and will attend between 1 and 3 audits in person per month. They will also own the amber and red failure actions and see these items through to closure within a reasonable period using the appropriate method to resolve the issue at its root cause. Each member of the audit team will also have an area of specialism which will involve regular meetings to ensure that activity is managed correctly within the defined process and that sufficient action is being undertaken in the BAU to manage the risk. This role will also map to the client appointed external audit team the client technical team where required.
What will you deliver?
Attending meetings with auditees to develop an understanding of business processes
Travelling to different sites to meet relevant staff and obtain documents and information
To ensure the HMCTS contract remains compliant within the following areas PPM, CW, Asset Capture and Service Variation
Working closely with onsite engineers & technical teams
Review sites as agreed with the client's hard services lead and appointed external audit team
Maintain Equans site logbooks ensuring paperwork is replenished, folders are replaced if damaged and old documentation is archived
Ensure Internal specialist audits are reviewed against the TCA supplied by the AEs
Ensure the scope of specialist work is completed in line with contractual guidelines and maintenance specifications and any issues are managed through to conclusion
Review plant and plant rooms during audits providing detailed reports of any issues found to ensure all are dealt with in a timely manner
Record on Aims unsafe acts and near misses where necessary
Record on Aims, a minimum of x1 monthly MSV (Management Safety Visits) and include 1x observation on each MSV
To work closely with Technical Manager and National Compliance Manager to improve overall technical compliance across the Stat M1, Stat M2 and M4 KPIs
Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance and new works
Ensure all record keeping functions are completed
Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of workmanship and safety and highlight issues to the operations and projects teams where necessary
Understanding of escalation procedures

Who are we looking for?
Experience within a similar role/environment
Good Knowledge of M&E equipment
Full Clean Driving Licence
Computer literate with good skills in Word, Excel, email, internet etc
Able to work on own initiative
Good knowledge of SHEQ procedures, risk assessments, work permits etc
