We are seeking a graduate/HNC/HND electro-mechanical engineer who has an interest in or experience with compliance and legislation. The ideal candidate will join our growing compliance and approval team.

Strong understanding of electrical/electronic engineering, preferably with some mechanical knowledge as well.
Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Suite.
Ability to read and interpret technical standards and documents without getting bored.
Exceptional attention to detail. Minimum Qualifications: Electro-mechanical engineering degree/HNC/HND.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting the technical team in researching compliance frameworks to promptly identify any gaps.
Coordinating testing, review, and validation processes to meet compliance frameworks.
Managing testing to ensure compliance with diverging requirements between EU and UK markets (CE versus UKCA & UKNI).
Maintaining product technical files that demonstrate compliance, including test reports, certificates, calculations, and in-house testing.
Maintaining a compliance register that summarizes compliance status, including expiration and review dates.
Reviewing relevant standards to ensure timely re-testing and avoid the use of superseded standards to demonstrate compliance.
Continuously developing and deepening compliance and product knowledge, as well as addressing general compliance and product sustainability queries.
Undertaking other activities as assigned by management.
Goals and Objectives: Working collaboratively with the compliance team and other departments, the Compliance Officer will contribute to ensuring all products conform to the necessary standards. This will involve extensive reading and interpretation of technical documents, as well as organizing relevant testing and approvals as needed.

Training: Internal training will be provided during the induction period and ongoing. External training will be arranged based on the requirements of the successful candidate. This role will provide valuable experience within a compliance team in an engineering/manufacturing environment. The Engineering department interacts with multiple departments, offering exposure to various aspects of the manufacturing business, including manufacturing, purchasing, and sales.
Probationary Period: The probationary period is 6 months. If the Company finds the candidate's performance unsatisfactory during this period, it may be extended by written notice. Satisfactory completion of the probationary period will be confirmed in writing.
Pay: Salary: Approximately 27-28,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). A Christmas bonus will be provided once qualified, depending on company and personal performance.
Hours of Work: Full-time: 36 hours per week, with semi-flexible core hours from 10:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday (inclusive) and from 10:00 to 12:00 on Fridays. Every fourth week, work hours finish at 16:00. Part-time: Minimum of 3 days per week, with at least 2 of those days falling on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
