The post holder will be focussed on compliance and anti-money laundering/countering the financing of terrorism/countering proliferation financing ("AML/CFT/CPF") related tasks in respect of Alter Domus (Guernsey) Limited ("ADG") and its clients in what is a rapidly developing business. The post holder will report to the Compliance Manager in Guernsey.
Job Description
• Undertaking compliance monitoring in accordance with the compliance monitoring plan to ensure that ADG and its clients remain compliant with all applicable regulatory and AML/CFT/CPF requirements.
• Ensuring that client and investor due diligence is collected to the appropriate standard in order to comply with the GFSC's AML/CFT/CPF Handbook and internal policies and procedures.
• Assist in preparing all relevant reporting to the boards of ADG and its clients.
• Assist in monitoring the GFSC and industry for updates to regulations, standards and guidance and ensuring such updates are brought to the attention of the Board of ADG, its clients and other relevant employees.
• Responsible for the updating and maintaining of relevant registers of ADG and clients.
• Assisting in maintaining internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local standards and regulatory requirements as the business develops.
• Assist in preparing and submitting relevant regulatory reporting for ADG and its clients.
• Assisting with the daily monitoring of the screening system's output in conducting relevant background searches on clients and other associated parties.
• Assisting with the provision of support and training to the staff of ADG as required in respect of compliance and AML/CFT/CPF matters.
• Assisting with liaison between ADG and external stakeholders on compliance and AML/CFT/CPF matters such as the GFSC, local authorities and auditors.
• Assisting with the completion of general and ad-hoc compliance activities undertaken for ADG as required.
Your Profile
• You have a strong working knowledge of the regulatory and AML/CFT/CPF framework for Guernsey.
• You have a minimum of 4 years' financial services experience, preferably in a Compliance team and/or in an AML/CFT/CPF KYC/CDD environment.
• You preferably have completed the ICA Certificate in Compliance or an equivalent level appropriate qualification or be studying for the same.
• You are ambitious with a high level of energy and commitment.
• You possess team spirit, a capacity to build strong relationships and take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate.
• You will have a high level of IT literacy with good Excel and Word skills.
