Reed Further Education is now recruiting for a Computing Lecturer to join the one of our fantastic Widnes based colleges.

Job Title:Computing Lecturer

Location: Widnes

Hours: Mon, Tues, Wed + Thurs (14:30 finish), Fri PM

Contract: Temporary - 19th Feb start, ongoing

Salary: £30-35 per hour

You will be responsible for delivering computing and IT at a range of levels at the college. Topics will include Website Development, Digital Portfolio, Programming and Games Development, as well as Cloud and Visualisation among others.

What the role will entail:

  • Develop engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to diverse student needs.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to encourage learning.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students, promoting their growth and self-confidence.
  • Assess student progress and provide regular updates.

What we need from you:

  • A degree or similar in relevant subject area
  • Ability to teach Python Programming language
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Track record in effective teaching of subject
  • GCSE or equivalent maths and English
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to get one
