Job Description

Job Title: Concierge Manager

Location: St Andrews, Fife

Contract: Permanent, Full-time 

Are you passionate about providing a superior level of personalised service by ensuring every need and desire of our guests is fulfilled? We are looking for a remarkable individual to head up our dynamic Concierge team at the Fairmont St Andrews, one of Scotland's most iconic 5 star luxury hotels and resorts in the home of golf.

Our Front of House team are the greatest ambassadors for our resort, delivering a courteous and welcoming greeting to every guest who passes through our doors, and playing an integral part in their experience here at the Fairmont St Andrews and surrounding area.

Our absolute focus is delivering a personalised, luxury experience to all guests, building relationships and anticipating their every need. If you believe you are the right person for this role then we want to hear from you.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform an active role in the hotel operations as a key member of the management team, working effectively to achieve business targets.
  • Produce forecasts for the department.  Manage all costs relating to the department in respect of operating supplies and payroll.
  • Being able to deal with queries and complaints as soon as you are made aware of them.
  • To develop revenue-generating opportunities in a mainly cost based department.
  • Ensure all staff is aware of any current news and information.
  • Carry out performance reviews annually and job development every quarter.
  • Control the Concierge operation on a day-to-day basis ensuring all operating standards are in place and staff is well briefed.
  • To maintain and develop excellent service standards and consistent customer service focus.
  • Collate and establish a large range of information regarding food & beverage, transport to meet and exceed guest's expectations.
  • Have a clear development plan for members of the team.
  • Support the Transport team in driving revenues and guest experience
  • Support the Reception team for a seamless arrival and departure experience

 


Qualifications
  • 2 years experience in a similar role within the luxury hotel market
  • Someone with a bright, engaging and warm personality
  • A desire to continually enhance guest experience and provide excellent service, actively promoting the resort and local area
  • High standards of grooming, presentation and professionalism
  • Highly motivated and ambitious, with a great sense of pride in their work
  • Actively and collaboratively assists in building the best practices necessary for the company and departments success using initiative and innovation
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Desire to learn, develop and progress within the resort
