Purpose of the role
The post holder will be accountable for the development and implementation of Condition Monitoring Program. The post holder will be responsible for regulatory compliance and the implementation of a range of monitoring techniques across the business Assets.
The CBM Technician shall provide discipline expertise and support for the Assets to deliver rotating equipment availability and integrity. This will be achieved through the routine data collection, analysis and diagnostics on rotating equipment. They will produce reports and will update systems as required.
Education / Knowledge / Experience:
- Minimum ONC/NVQ/HNC Mechanical Engineering or Engineering
- Equipment maintenance experience preferably in Chemical / Petrochemical Plants.
- BINDT VA Level 1 desired
- ICML MLA1 desired but not essential
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of basic principles of plant equipment, Condition Monitoring, and lubrication management.
- Specialist knowledge of all types of pumps, compressors, turbines and ancillary equipment types, their construction and operation.
- Competent in equipment overhaul and the application of Condition Monitoring process and diagnostics.
Technical Skills:
- As a Condition Monitoring Specialist demonstrates thorough understanding and application of CM discipline including knowledge of equipment diagnostic analysis, techniques appropriate, CM standards and application.
- Proficient in RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis)
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Application I.T. Computer tools.
