We are currently seeking to recruit an Engineering Configuration Analyst to join our team in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. Ideally, the successful candidate will be willing and able to be based on site, however, we will consider applicants looking to work on a hybrid basis; 4 days on site, 1 day remote.

Role Overview:

Working within a small Configuration Management team, you will provide data management support to the local engineering department specialising in flight simulation products.

Using the Part Data Management (PDM) system you will ensure the maintenance, completeness, accuracy and revision control of engineering drawings, documentation, and data.

Accountabilities:

  • Serve as Product Data Management (PDM) system expert/configuration coordinator

  • Responsible for creating, managing and releasing of engineering data through PDM

  • Document Control – follow engineering processes to company and industry standards

  • Progress vendor parts and engineering change orders (CO’s) through the PDM system

  • After training, support colleagues within the wider engineering department with guidance on part numbering and documentation requirements

  • Edit Word documents as required to ensure consistency for issue

Basic Requirements:

  • Computer literate with fluency in MS Office (esp. Outlook, Word & Excel) and Adobe Acrobat basics

  • Excellent communication skills and able to work within teams with multiple stakeholders

  • Be self-motivated

  • Be precise, methodical and meticulous, ensuring data entered is accurate and correct

  • Be organised, agile and able to prioritise tasks within both an overall workload and within the Configuration Management team

  • Be able to communicate with local and international colleagues to resolve data concerns as they arise, ensuring the assured content within the engineering vault

  • Ensure that issues are identified and resolved or escalated (if applicable) in a timely manner

  • Ability to understand and work within multi-layered bespoke software configuration tools – e.g. Enovia

  • Quick learner – ability to digest tools & process training


Preferred Requirements:

  • Basic experience of SAP

  • Knowledge and/or experience of engineering processes and principles

  • Awareness of REACH & ROHS compliance requirements

  • BTEC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline
