Position Title: Confined Space Operative with Breathing Apparatus

Location: Immingham

Salary Range: £15.64 to £28.15

Employment Type: PAYE Contract - Full time
Local Labour only to Grimsby

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Confined Space Operative with expertise in using Breathing Apparatus (soft fit BA). The successful candidate will be responsible for performing tasks in Confined Spaces while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations. This role is critical for maintaining safe working environments and executing operations in areas with restricted access and potentially hazardous conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely enter and work within Confined Spaces, including tanks, vessels, tunnels, and pipelines
• Conduct thorough pre-entry safety checks and risk assessments in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Utilize appropriate entry and exit procedures to maintain a safe working environment

Breathing Apparatus Operations:

• Properly don, operate, and maintain Breathing Apparatus equipment as required for Confined Space operations.
• Monitor and manage oxygen levels and other potential atmospheric hazards within Confined Spaces.
• Perform regular checks and maintenance of BA equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including Confined Space entry permits and safety protocols.
• Participate in safety drills and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and emergency procedures.

• Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near-misses to the supervisor immediately.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure efficient and safe operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding task progress, safety concerns, and operational needs.

Qualifications:

• CCNSG
• BA cert / Confined space

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work in physically demanding and hazardous environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in using safety and monitoring equipment related to Confined Spaces.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to work flexible hours, Including weekends / Nights
