Stride Resource Management are currently recruiting a Contractors Plant and Equipment Loss Adjuster for a Leading Global Loss Adjuster. This Role is Home and Field based.
You will play a crucial role in assessing and managing insurance claims related to contractors' plant and equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to investigate and evaluate losses, determining the extent of coverage and recommending settlements. You will work closely with policyholders, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to facilitate the fair and efficient resolution of claims.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations of contractors' plant and equipment losses, including damage assessment and determination of the cause.
- Analyze policy terms and conditions to ascertain coverage applicability for each claim.
- Visit loss sites to inspect and assess the damage to contractors' plant and equipment.
- Document findings, gather evidence, and take photographs to support claim assessments.
- Interpret insurance policies to determine the scope and limitations of coverage for contractors' plant and equipment losses.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of coverage details to policyholders.
- Communicate effectively with policyholders, insurance professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining investigation findings, assessment results, and recommended claim settlements.
- Negotiate fair and equitable settlements with policyholders or their representatives.
- Collaborate with insurance underwriters and legal teams when necessary to resolve complex claims.
Qualifications:
- Successful candidates must be CILA qualified or have significant progress towards the CILA Qualification with other industry qualifications being a distinct advantage.
- They will have proven experience in the loss adjusting sector and demonstrable focus on quality, communication, technical and organizational skills.
- Capability in negotiation, decision making and problem-solving, coupled with strong stakeholder management.
- An ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally is imperative.
- A proven, positive reputation in the Broker and Insurer market would also be advantageous.
