Construction Bid Manager/Estimator
Location: Cornwall (Hybrid working from home and office)
Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week)
Our client is seeking a Bid Manager/Estimator to play an important role in their four-year growth plan. As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate a decisive and cohesive approach to the tender process, ensuring alignment with financial governance. Collaborating across various departments, you will effectively communicate, coordinate, and manage the bid process within stringent deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring compliance with financial governance
- Prepare detailed costings for each tender, liaising with Business Directors to finalise figures for submission
- Collaborate with colleagues to gather relevant details, ensuring the clear demonstration of quality to clients.
- Utilise a persuasive and collaborative approach in working with stakeholders across the business
About You:
- Degree qualified or equivalent, with significant experience in the construction industry.
- Proven experience in estimating construction project tenders (refurbishment and new-build).
- Thorough understanding of bid development, procurement, and tendering processes in a construction environment.
- Familiarity with NEC Contract, JCT Contracts, and conditions of contract.
