Our client is an expanding utilities and drainage company based near Southend-on-Sea, Essex. As their workload and site continue to grow rapidly, they are looking to recruit for an experience Construction Co-ordinator to join their team.
Duties:
- Manage and control schemes from design phase to inception through to operational delivery.
- Liaise with their engineering department around the flow of data whilst updating the wider teams on current planned work status.
- Underpinning all works with a high level of safety compliance through planning and strategic administration.
- Ensure that operations are carried out in an effective, efficient and safe manner to provide service to their customers with availability in line with all relevant Water Recycling and Environmental Protection standards.
- Lead by example and provide support to the Operations and Project Managers.
- Work across the business ensuring teams are aware of how their activities can impact upon compliance.
- Take ownership and management of local budgets to ensure delivery of their business plan in line with affordability.
- Collaborate, sharing knowledge, always exploring to look for new ways of working, highlighting and owning process improvements through a continuous improvement mindset.
- Supporting Operations Managers to actively lead and mentor other by example and ensure Health, Safety and Quality standards are always complied with.
Person Specification:
- Experience of delivering schemes.
- Project management experience.
- Broad understanding of the regulatory and operating environment.
- Able to translate and communicate technical knowledge to others.
- Celebrate when we get things right and share best practice with others.
- Seek the right balance of information to make informative decisions.
- Follow policies and procedures, and constructively challenge them when they don’t help get the right results.
