Construction Labourer

A Nevitt Construction, a family-owned and operated business based in Hayle, Cornwall, is seeking dedicated labourers to join our growing team. We work across various sites from Hayle to beyond, ensuring our projects are delivered with precision and safety. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Expected Hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in loading and unloading building materials and tools
• Operate and maintain construction machinery and tools
• Clean and prepare construction sites, removing debris and potential hazards
• Perform tasks such as digging trenches, backfilling holes, and compacting earth to prepare sites
• Mix, pour, and level concrete
• Help set up and dismantle job site facilities and safety measures

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong physical stamina and strength for manual labour
• Team player with the ability to cooperate and communicate effectively
• Basic understanding of construction tools and machinery
• Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and standards
• Effective communication skills for following instructions and providing feedback
• Must have a valid driving license and access to own transport (essential for travelling to various job sites)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (Required), but negotiable

Willingness to Travel:

• 100% (Essential)

Work Location: In person, multiple sites
