What you ll do
Opportunity to join the consultancy department of an Environmental, Safety and Planning Consultancy.
Working as part of the Consultancy team you ll provide support through report writing, complete regular client contact calls, and produce regular client document updates. You ll deal with Barbour clients via telephone in support of consultancy services supplied to the client, and work alongside the Consultants to complete client reports on legal compliance and audit findings.
How you ll do it
- Regular update of client registers of legislation to Barbour format
- Manage and document outstanding client register content queries in conjunction with consultancy team colleagues
- Complete client review of operations as they relate to client legal requirements
- Assist with writing of reports and documents arising from consultancy interventions with clients
- Assist clients with queries relating to legislation within the scope of the products
What you ll need
- Exceptional written skills
- Good analytical skills
- Confident manner dealing with clients
- Good verbal communication skills and confidence
- Good organisational skills
- Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel etc
- An interest in of environment and safety law, and how it affects business
What would be even better
- A degree in an English, Law, Journalism, Health & Safety / Environmental or other writing based disciplines
- Understanding of the UK and EU legal systems
- Ability to interpret complex legislation and summarise it in plain English
- Knowledge of environment and safety law, and how it affects business
- Understanding of ISO management systems and best management practice
