We're seeking an ecology consultant to conduct preliminary ecological appraisals, protected species surveys and support habitat restoration. If you have a passion for habitat restoration and love being outdoors, dive into this opportunity with us!

Explore more about the role:

  • Conduct ecological site assessments and report writing, including habitat mapping.
  • Perform protected species surveys, reporting, and mitigation planning.
  • Advise on ecological impacts for emergency and planned works.
  • Develop species and habitat mitigation strategies in line with UK legislation.
  • Assist with project delivery, including fisheries surveys, habitat projects, site investigations, pollution response, and aquatic macro-invertebrate sampling.
  • Carry out field surveys in various weather conditions and terrains, often involving physical demands.
  • Provide advice on habitat restoration and management, with a focus on wetlands and water environments.

  • Experience in ecological consultancy.
  • Degree in an environmental subject.
  • Proficiency in key ecological field surveys.
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions and flexible hours.
  • Eagerness to learn and travel for projects across the UK.
  • Working towards or holding professional accreditation and protected species licences.
  • Strong understanding of wildlife and aquatic environment legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
