We are looking for an experienced mental health pharmacist to join our team as a Consultant Pharmacist for Langley Green Hospital. As Consultant Pharmacist, you will be a core part of our leadership team, working closely with the Multi-professional Approved Responsible Clinician to deliver the Medicines Optimisation Strategy and support our patients in your care.

To work at the highest professional level of Consultant Pharmacist at Langley Green Hospital. To maintain accreditation with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society at this credentialled level.
To actively contribute to, and participate in, the provision and development of pharmaceutical services and research within acute adult mental health services in the Trust.
To develop the academic profile of the service through active research and development. To link nationally with outcomes.
To be involved in writing clinical case studies, emerging from acute adult mental health services for publication purposes.
Promote non-pharmacological support to all key stakeholders to maximise the outcomes for the patient and to complement and, where clinically appropriate, replace the need for prescribing medicines.
To work as an independent prescriber for acute adult mental health services in the Trust
To support and drive the development of and work within clinical guidelines so that patients receive safe, clinically effective and timely care and treatment. To ensure that all monitoring parameters of medicines are met and to ensure that patient's physical and mental health care is optimum.
This post will support the oncall pharmacist rota, current frequency >1 in 20
