Leadership & Governance: a. Ensures service delivery by the department is within the resources available. b. Helps manage demand and prioritises on the basis of need imaging services as required. c. Demonstrates excellence in patient quality care. d. To cover for radiologists as required during time of leave in order to maintain a good service. Interpersonal and Communication Skills: a. The post holder must be willing to join an established collaborative department which involves working closely with radiological colleagues to provide a comprehensive and cohesive service. b. Contribute to the design and implementation of imaging service by applying the latest evidence and delivering high quality patient care. c. Have excellent radiology report writing skills and be able to communicate effective with clinical colleagues. To develop and maintain effective networks within the region enabling best practice to be identified and implemented by the Trust. d. The post holder must have well-developed listening and communication skills and be able to interact effectively with a wide range of clinicians, managers and professionals both within and outside the Trust. Planning and organising: a. Be willing to be involved with and implement a comprehensive Breast imaging service including multiple modalities. b. Contribute to the discussion on the future development of general imaging services within the department. c. Support the development of a culture of continuous improvement. d. Effectively plan, communicate and execute changes ensuring engagement and involvement. e. Support the department in achieving its financial and performance targets. Administrative support a.
