Home based, full time and part time opportunities available.

All new starters will be required to take part in a 2 week full-time induction, in person at the Hull office.

Must also be willing to travel to the Hull office as and when required for meetings and training.

An exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Home-Based Customer Contact Team. We’re the UK’s largest commercial news publisher, home to the UK and Ireland’s most iconic digital platforms, magazines and newspapers. From the Mirror, Daily Express and OK!, to our regional titles such as the Liverpool Echo, MyLondon, Birmingham Live and the Manchester Evening News (plus lots more), our brands and the stories we cover are as varied as our people.

Our national Customer Contact Team serves our E-Commerce platforms such as our OK! Beauty Box in relation to general enquiries, cancellations and new subscriptions, as well as managing our digital subscriptions apps. Therefore the ability to deal with a wide range of calls is essential.


Job Description

  • Ability to work at a fast pace and react promptly to all incoming calls with a polite and professional manner
  • To demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with customer enquiries and complaints
  • Demonstrate excellent product knowledge to maximise on all sales opportunities
  • Subscribing customers to their chosen newspaper
  • Dealing with cancellation calls and where possible retaining customers
  • Renewing customer subscriptions incl converting a customer onto direct debit (inbound & outbound)
  • General subscription queries - incl. financial issues and digital queries
  • Maintain working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Cooperate with supervisors and managers to achieve a healthy and safe workplace and to take reasonable care of yourself and others

  • An excellent communicator
  • You’ll be comfortable dealing with all levels of seniority
  • A logical thinker who can engage with people
  • Confident in delivering exceptional customer service
  • A passion for self development
