Job Purpose
- To provide an efficient and effective service to designated teams within Children and Family Service. To adopt a flexible and adaptable approach across whole service as required. If required attend court to provide verbal evidence.
- To provide an excellent customer service, displaying a ‘can do’ attitude.
- To observe the interactions between families and children during the contact session and provide support, advice and guidance to families and carers within the contact in order to promote positive and appropriate actions and improve parenting skills and relationships.
- Making arrangements with relevant professionals and agencies to prepare for Children and their families to have contact, including transporting when necessary of Children and their families to and from the Contact Sessions. As required, to be responsible for opening and securing of the building.
- To observe and supervise the interactions between families and children attending contact. Ensuring that the contact room and activities are age appropriate and any rooms are left tidy. To provide support, advice, guidance and safeguard the welfare of Children and young people and provide regular feedback to families and carers. As necessary identify and schedule support for families within contact sessions.
- To develop positive and professional relationships with Children and their families/carers and professionals.
