The Organisation
Our client is dedicated to breaking the link between family income and academic achievement.
They do this by supporting schools, colleges and nurseries to improve teaching and learning through better use of evidence. They generate research evidence on effective practice in supporting learning outcomes and narrowing the socioeconomic attainment gap, and they work with academic professionals to ensure this evidence is applied to achieve the maximum possible benefit for children and young people.
They are currently seeking Content and Engagement Specialists to join their team on a part time or full-time, permanent basis.
They expect to appoint these roles as London based with hybrid working. However, for an exceptional candidate, home-based working with regular travel to the London office may be considered.

- Salary of £41,000 per annum, depending on experience (£44,000 with London Weighting)

The Role
As a Content and Engagement Specialist, you will ensure our client’s work is relevant, accessible, and ultimately, useful to educators.
Supporting their evidence-based activities, you will co-ordinate the development and maintenance of high quality, actionable and relevant resources and tools.
You will also take the lead in gathering and responding to sector voices and their insights via engagement channels such as focus groups.
Additionally, you will:
- Support sector practice reviews and future research evidence activity
- Produce targeted communications, such as blogs or podcast contributions
- Co-ordinate content generation that is aligned with policy priorities
- Build and maintain a strong network of contacts within the academic industry
- Represent the organisation at relevant external forums and events
Our client is currently seeking Content Specialists with a focus on literacy; learning behaviours; early years or mathematics on a part-time or full-time, permanent basis.
About You
To be considered as a Content and Engagement Specialist, you will need:
- Experience as an academic practitioner with a specialism in early years, literacy, learning behaviours or mathematics
- Knowledge of research findings and appropriate methodology in your specialism
- An understanding of the academic landscape
- The ability to develop resources that support educators to enact and implement effective practices
Please note, this role will involve regular travel widely across England as well as occasional overnight stays.
