Content Manager

Your new company
We are supporting a vibrant and growing Professional Services business based in Ipswich who are looking for a Content Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Acting as the editor of the company, you will be defining and driving editorial standards and excellence across all content, which will also include evolving the long-term content strategy and overseeing delivery of the content plan.
Your new role
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for sourcing, producing, and publishing content on the website. With an almost obsessive attention to detail, you will employ a razor-sharp eye over all parts of the site, ensuring all content is engaging, accurate, and grammatically correct. Responsibilities will include:

• Maintain an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the in-house marketing team, external writers, and the external agency to ensure timely delivery of content.
• Create, edit and curate written content including email sequences, newsletters, press releases, website content pages, blogs, social posts, case studies, white papers, and ads.
• Secure external content features to drive brand engagement and support the SEO strategy.
• Ensure all marketing materials and content are up-to-date and consistent across all mediums, suggesting recommendations to improve where necessary.
• Work with stakeholders to reduce duplication of content across the business, encouraging alignment and collaboration.
• Work with managers on the creation of content for new collateral to ensure content is in line with company tone of voice and tailored to the correct audience/stakeholder.
• Manage agency, writers, and freelance journalists. Maintain contributor directory and build regular contributor pipeline.
• Work with the team to plan and deliver an engaging social media plan for the business and it's sister brand.
• Own the awards calendar, and work with the wider team to introduce award-worthy campaigns across the company.
• Measure and report performance of content campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals, and iterate based on results.
• Work collaboratively to optimise the YouTube channel and video platforms.
• Keep up to date with content trends and technology and present to the wider team on a regular basis.
• Research industry information, customer challenges, and identify new opportunities to deliver purposeful content.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience in a Content, Marketing or Communications role, within the Financial Services or Professional Services industries. You will be an expert storyteller, with strong SEO skills; able to create a range of content that captures a business audience. Proficiency in using Adobe Photoshop and other image editing software is beneficial. Additionally, you will be a confident, driven and organised individual.
